Mud Day, Swim Day, and Father's Day!!

Sneaking in on Sophie at daycare is kind of hard! It is like she senses me for some reason! Haha So anyway when I got there she was playing in the sand box not wanting much to do with the "mud", then about 5 minutes later she finally scooted her way towards the mud and boy did she get dirty! Not as dirty as others but pretty nasty! I snapped a few pictures before she noticed me then needless to say I was involved in mud day! She came up....momma momma momma lol and gave me the biggest muddest hug and kiss there was! But that's ok..it's all worth it (: I will upload pictures soon...I haven't quite had time to. Friday night was the first 31 party I had...and so far I have rounded up a lot of orders! I'm so excited!!


Saturday we all woke up and played in bed first thing and ended up going to MiMi and Pop's house! They had a fish fry with lots of friends and the girls enjoyed riding the sea doo with their daddy. They girls were so exhausted from playing all day they were asleep by 7:00! It was quite nice so daddy and I enjoyed some quiet time (:


Today was a wonderful fun day! Happy Father's day to all the loving daddy's out there! I wish I would have gotten to know my daddy but I know he is in a better and I will eventually see him. We went to church, ate at my great grandparents, and at 3:30 Nick, Me, Marli, Sophie, Nina, Paw Paw, Maw Maw and Paw Paw Pemberton, Angi, Grady, Kayli Grace, Chris, Christi, Riley, Chloe, and Abbi took a family trip to Tallassee to Paw Paw's old home. It is now consider a historic place there. It was so sweet to take pictures with my Paw Paw. He had such a good time going back and sharing some stories of his childhood. As soon as I get the pictures I will put them on here as well. But now it's late and the girls have school tomorrow! So once again Happy Happy Father's Day and I hope everyone had a great weekend! We are beach bound Friday!!

Doughnuts for Dad's!

WOW!!! I'm tired! I can only imagine how Sophie feels! She had such a fun busy day today!

To start off the morning we of course went to HLA and for the first time she didn't cry when mommy left her! I was so happy yet upset because she's growing up right before my eyes! Then at 9 the school had Doughnuts for Dad's and I snuck and took some pictures! She was so happy to see her sweet daddy at school. I hid but it's like she sensed me for some reason so I was quickly spotted. BUT she STILL didn't cry and enjoyed eating her doughnutS with Nick. I got lots of pictures of her and her friends. Then they headed outside to the playground....I joined them and she had a blast playing with her daddy on the slide. Once Nick and I decided to leave she looked at us, gave us a kiss, and said bye bye... No Tears... :( haha.

Mrs. Shannon uploaded pictures from later that day where they played in shaving cream!! I'm so happy that she had such a sweet and wonderful person as her teacher!

To end a summer's night we had a little cook out with some good friends but now I'm exhausted. I will post pictures tomorrow, Sophie has MUD DAY:)

A day away from Hump day (:

I'm so happy Sophie is still doing great at daycare! I'm still upset she cried every morning but that's ok....it will get better! So excited for Thursday...it's Doughnuts with Dad day! I will most definately upload pictures! But all in all I can say this week is going by rather fast and it has been pretty productive! Cleaned house this afternoon, still planning Marli's birthday, getting ready for a cook out Thursday night and hosting my first 31 party Friday!! I'm so excited! But here a quick snapshot of Sophie this morning before school....Night all (:

Sweet Summertime....

Well to update from Friday...we didn't do anything that night. I was headed to get the girls from daycare and before I got to HLA, Sophie's teacher called saying she had a temp of 104. I was a nervous wreck! As soon as I got there she was snuggled up with her sweet teacher. But we went home and she got to feeling better later that night. Thank god! We had plans to go to the Jazz Fest but Mommy just couldn't do it knowing my babygirl was sick! So Sophie finally went to bed around 7:45 and her daddy and I enjoyed a movie! We haven't watched a movie together in forever. If you haven't seen "Have you heard about the Morgan's?" You should definately watch it.




I had to work Saturday so Sophie and her daddy worked in the yard all day. Then Nick, I, Jeremiah, Breanna, Walter, Whit, and Mal P all cooked out! We had a good time just listening to music and talking! Too funny.



For the best part of the weekend.....Sophie made her first visit to the creek today! She loved it!!! Here are some pictures from the creek and their first day at daycare (: Now to finish watching Drop Dead Diva and Army Wives!!! Happy Sunday all!!

BitterSweet Symphany

Wow! What a week. Marli and Sophie both started daycare Monday. Marli is attending First Presbyterian every other week and Sophie is attening Harbor Learning Academy full time now! Here's daily updates from this week:

Monday- We all took Sophie to her first day at "big girl" school. She cried of course. But as soon as we left her teacher, Mrs. Shannon, said she did wonderful for her first day. She didn't tee tee much for them but she did poop first thing that morning! And Marli had a great day as well! They said it was like she had been there before. Sophie was so tired she was asleep by 7:30!!!

Tuesday-We took Sophie first again because Marli likes to walk her lil sissy into school. Sophie is still crying when I drop her off. But I know it will get better! At least I pray it does. Marli was so excited when her friend Allie came to school Tuesday. She says they play, talk, and take naps together. Lol. Both the girls had another great day! Sophie was in bed by 7:30 again (: Lol This is very unusual for her!

Wednesday-Sophie went first yet again, still crying too. When I picked her up that afternoon I tried peeking in on her through the window but she was no where t0 be found. So I walk in and look behind the counter and I see her cute little Pink Pumas kicking out behind the counter. Her teacher then informs me that she was in time out! (already on the third day...lordy lordy...) She had bit 3 times that day!!! I did not want my child to be the biter of the class, so we are going to have to work on this! Then when I pick up Marli from school I get asked by a friend of mine if I was pregnant?!? Lol. This came as a huge shock to me. Well I replied NO Why? Her response, Well Marli is telling everyone you are and you are going to have her a baby brother!!! Hahaha. I asked her about it and she said" I was just playing with you but I do want one! I couldn't stop laughing. After school we went swimming with Maggi and Abbi and TC's and then enjoyed hamburgers and hot dogs at church.

Thursday-Sophie crying? Yes. We also had an accident before walking into school, they fell and somehow Marli's tennis shoes landed ontop of Sophie's face :( But she sucked it up and went on about her business. Lol. When I picked her up that afternoon I couldn't have been more proud. She finally is tee teeing in the potty for her teachers! On her 17 month birthday (: Lol. I wound up taking her potty from home to school because she is scared of the "big hole" or the coldness in regular potties I believe, but it worked taking her potty to school! They said she was perfect angel and she tee teed on and off all day:) She also got her first little note from school that was inviting her daddy to school for Father's Day! I know he will love going to it.


Friday-Marli said she wanted to be dropped off first this time so sissy could watch her go to school! Lol. So after I dropped off Marli, we took Sophie to school and let her get ready for her very first water day at HLA!!! I will update later this weekend on how she did today! And Ill post pictures of their first day. Have a wonderful weekend!!! I have some cleaning to do:)

Swimming, Dinner, and Excitement:)

Whooooooooo Hoooo! Well Friday I got a call from the Harbor wanting Sophie to start daycare Monday! I knew I wanted her to start daycare in the summer but I never expected it to be so soon. My baby is growing up to be a big girl! Best thing about it all is she will be placed in the toddler class since she is potty training already :) So I will definately be posting pictures tomorrow of her first day at the Harbor. Then Marli is also starting First Presbyterian Monday for the summer! She is so excited and so are we!

Ok on a calmer note, we played by the pool all day and had a blast. Sophie loves splish splashing in the pool! Later that night Whit and I went out to dinner! While we were at dinner Nick had a few of his friends over and they grilled out. After dinner Whitney and I joined them all and Breanna rode over. We all had a good time just laughing and enjoying each others company.

Swimming and laying out is how we started off Saturday. We were by the pool all day and then enjoyed a fish fry the guys put together! It was yummo :) Sophie stayed with her cousins Maggi and Abbi who are here from Georgia for the summer. We all wound up riding dirt roads and Nick and I had a great time enjoying some time alone.

Lazy, Lazy, Lazy Sunday:) We went to Wal Mart and got the girls stuff for their first days at daycare! And Marli got her some new shoes. She is growing up so fast! Now Nick, Marli, and I are laying in bed. Tomorrow is going tobe such a bittersweet day. Ill update everyone tomorrow!

Memorial Day 2000 and 10 :)

Weekend at the lake; yucky weather and all:) Well to start off Saturday we all loaded up on the boat and headed out on the beautiful Lake Martin around 9. Grady, Riley, Kayli Grace, Marli, Sophie, and Chloe all have a blast on the lake. We rode for a little bit and stopped at a huge sand bar. We stayed for about 4 hours before we knew it. Then the rain decided to come after us. We wound up out running it until we hit Chimney Rock. We sat at the Ridge for 20 minutes or so then headed back in. Here are a few pictures from the lake day...

Then Sunday we had a wonderful time at church and eating at Arby's. Chris and Christi also added a new addition to the family and bought a puppy. It's an English Spangle Spaniel. Riley decided she was going to name him Nemo Eric...Lol Here is a quick picture of him

After eating we all went home, changed, and headed to Nina's to let the kiddos swim in the pool.

After all the swimmming Sunday afternoon we went home and crashed! Monday was the first morning we had all slept late in awhile! It was so nice to wake up and not have to rush to get ready. So we lounged around the house most the morning and went to Nina and Paw Paw's again for lunch. We had steak, potatoes, etc. Not to mention the homemade ice cream:) After lunch the kids proceeded to make their way to the pool again and then Angi broke out the slip n slide as I got the watermelon. They played on that for awhile! Last but not least they decided to head to the pond and hunt for frogs but before they left they all ate smores. Here are a few more pictures to wrap up the weekend and I hope everyone had a wonderful Memorial Day!!! Let's not all forget what it's truly about. Sooooooooo Behind!!!

WOW...I know it's been awhile since I have posted a blog! It's pretty pathetic how long it's been. Haha but this has been the first time in 2 months I have been home alone with no kids and no husband and decided to post:) I will most definately getting back into the swing of things now. Anywho....Today at work we had our very first Customer Appreciation Day and it was a wonderful turnout! I gave away 200 hamburgers and over 100 hot dogs! Our customers loved it and so did we!

On the other hand...I can't believe that Sophie is 16 months old and acts 2!! She now says Hello, Bye Bye, There ya go, Thank you, Shoes, Momma, and last but not least she calls her Daddy Dado:) Haha. She has been climbing up the slide, the couch, chairs, everything to be exact:) She is so much fun now. And Marli will be 4 in August! It's so bittersweet! She is getting so big so fast and is learning so much in school. She had her graduation last Tuesday and said her Bible Verses, sang her songs, and told us all her letters, numbers, colors, and shapes! She's so sweet!

Last but not least we went almost 2 weekends ago and had our Family portriats done. These are the first ones since Sophie was born and they turned out AMAZING:) Here's a few.....

HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND:)

W.H.A.T. A. W.E.E.K.E.N.D.....

Well,well,well....This was an exhausting weekend but so much FUN!! Friday night Nick, Sophie, and I ate JR's then put Sophie to bed and we watched Precious. If you have not seen this movie you definately need to watch it. I do not believe children should watch it but even though it was extremely sad it was well worth the watch. It just breaks my heart to know that children all over the world now days get treated that way by their parents!! I love my 2 daughters and will NEVER ever treat them badly. But anyway Saturday Nick and I both worked while Sophie bug stayed with her Paw Paw. Then the hubby and I decided we had not been out in awhile and by awhile I mean 8 months or so. Haha So we went to the American Wildlife Cookout at Bobby Scott's house. It was WONDERFUL to see all my old friends and mingle with everyone. I saw people there I hadn't seen in almost a year. Haha but anyway after that all our friends talked us into going to Sweetwater Lounge so we went and I had a wonderful time dancing like the old times. We got home late which was crazy for us not to mention the time change; but I was so happy when I got to get my Sophie bug this morning! We haven't left her overnight to go out with someone in awhile and I had missed her so so much. But today has been a lazy day for the family we are all still in our pj's and just relaxing today. This mommy isn't doing much today because it's back to reality tomorrow!

Rain, Rain, Go Away....

So for starters...I did NOT want to wake up this morning. Don't get me wrong I love sleeping when it's raining but getting up is the hard part...wish I could have just stayed in bed with Nick and Sophie all day but had to go to work. I'm so glad that Nick and Soph have gotten to spend so much time together. But after work today we went and got my father in law and went to my parent's to eat Soup and Sandwiches...NOTHING BETTER on a Rainy day.

First Blog

Well I decided to start doing this blog because an old friend of mine has been doing one and I loved reading about her and her family. It made me feel sane when I had a long day raising kids! Lol. Well let's start off with this weekend was wonderful. Nick,Marli,Sophie, and I played outside all weekend. Friday we started off with eating Gumbo at my father in laws house. It was great. Then they got to spend time with their Poppie Saturday. The girls had a wonderful time playing with their bubbles he brought. We then woke up Sunday morning; got dressed and rode on the golf cart through the pasture ALL DAY! It wore the babies out. They took a 2 1/2 hour nap it was wonderful. I would have pictures but something crazy is going on with my camera. Well I hope to blog again soon.
